New EU Directive - The Blind Spot

Every year several hundred children, adults pedestrians and cyclists are killed under the wheels of trucks, and many more seriously injured. All due to the so called BLIND-SPOT of atleast 25m2 unseen from the truck drivers seat, where one is completely unable to see anything that happens alongside the truck when the vehicle is making a right turn.
What vehicles are affected by the New Directive

The new directive applies to all commercial vehicles above 3.5t registered after Jan 1st 2000.
What are the Requirements
The retrofit applies to:
* Class IV (Wide Angle Mirror)
* Class V (Kerb Mirror)
* Class IV must cover 95% and Class V must cover 85% vision.
* We wide angle recommend Front / Roof mirror to also be fitted (Though not required)
